The PAC 12 fans I know are pretty cool. I think there is some arrogance with USC and Oregon fans. Not nearly as annoying as Husker fans.

I felt I owed an apology, Moe
If you can’t accept it and move on, then that’s not my problem.

I mention Utah a lot because they are a conference opponent. I typically talk about BYU in response to someone else. Yesterday, you started the thread about them not me.

To build on Moe's point
I just scratch my head when ppl think CU's struggles are a Montez ONLY problem. Was everything else the same last week and Montez played like crap?

Absolutely not!

We had a much better run game last night, significantly better protection and it seemed like a greater sense of purpose. Maybe it was a matchup thing, maybe the coaches had a better week preparing for ASU than they did AFA.

I know this is boring, sounds like a clitche but when CU struggles it's usually a team problem. Can't run ball, can't protect well and Montez doesn't play well. I'm not absolving him from any blame i just think we you compare good games to bad games, it's EXTREMELY short sighted to focus only on the QB. Honestly, it's the easy thing to do but it's also the ignorant thing to do. Much, much more goes into it.

Go Buffs.

I certainly didn’t taken offense.
It is hard for many of us to “hate” PAC schools as much. I know 1 Oregon fan and 1 UW fan and they aren’t obnoxious. I don’t know any fans of any other PAC teams, none. Meanwhile I work with several and have family holidays with a couple more Husker fans and they have a history of being very obnoxious. It is just hard not to want them to lose, they obviously care more about CU than any of their other games as well. It’s a rivalry and we don’t have one in the PAC.

Montez had a great night....
I have been very critical about Montez and how I don't think he is a good QB. However, I will also give him props when he earns it.
I think he played his best game last night. Not this season, but I think his best game as a CU QB, accept maybe for the Oregon win. He was poised, he was patient, he didnt get rattled. He led the team to a huge win.
Kudos to him. If he plays like this more consistantly, big things will happen for this team.

Go Buffs !

I think you have it backwards. Why do you care so much that we still love
to see Nebraska get their asses kicked? Let it go, we still have our favorite and least favorite teams to watch and cheer for or against. I happen to like watching Wisconsin kick people around with their home grown stud linemen.

I’ve always hated USC even before we joined the PAC. goes back to coach Robinson.

Some people hate Notre Dame, Texas, Miami etc.

You talk about BYU a lot. It’s all part of being fans.

Quit whining when someone brings up Nebraska.

My thoughts on Nebraska
I sincerely apologize if my posts last night offended or annoyed anyone. To be honest I was 1/2 joking but 1/2 serious.

I’m sick of Nebraska. They were arrogant jerks to us for several decades. WHY even think about them?? CU has proven 2 years in a row now that the Buffs are the better team. Colorado is a better state, we have a better coach, and a better football team. CU has nothing to prove. Nebraska is meaningless to CU now. We don’t play them again for a few years. We’re not in the same conference. Forget about them!!

I guarantee you MT couldn’t care less about Nebraska. He’s focused like a laser on right now and the future, neither of which include the Cornhuskers. Every PAC 12 team is more important than Nebraska. They’re no longer worth thinking about and posting about them just gives them importance that they don’t deserve. That’s reality.

Again, sorry if I offended anyone. All I care about now in regards to CU football is success in the PAC 12 and a bowl game. Nebraska is as relevant as Kansas.

Yep. Any combo of bad night on D and a bad night on O will get thist
Team beat even by AZ, UCLA or Stanford. Margin is thin.

CU can’t rely on opposing QBs missing throws and/or WRs dropping balls.

I need to look more about how UCLA scored last night.

Unwinnable based on what we’ve seen so far
Any game is winnable given a few turnovers, penalties, and lucky bounces, but here’s what I’m thinking:

Unwinnable: Oregon and UW.

Very, very doubtful: USC. Trojans are their own worst enemy (penalties) at times but they are loaded with talent.

Doubtful: Utah and WSU. Can’t see our DBs standing up to the Cougars passing attack but we might be able to outscore them in a shootout.

Possible wins: AZ, UCLA, Stanford

Which of our games do you think are truly unwinnable?
I think it's a pretty wacky conference where just about anybody can beat anybody. At this point I would only rate Oregon as unwinnable. Of the remaining conference games, we could potentially upset any one or two of the teams who will be favored against us. We may be favored against AZ and Stanford. Hard to say. We will need to upset one or more to get to a bowl. Beat ASU on the road certainly was cause for hope. That was an upset.

Clifford posted 23 points, six rebounds, and three assists in the title-game loss to Denver Manual." A four-star recruit

Being a Patriot fan since Jim Plunkett days I have to say........
AB is and was a cancer and should not have been brought in. But the NFL in general is always looking for an edge. There are a lot of very "unpleasant" people in the NotForLong who can get it done. The NFL has issues that might not be able to control as long as winning overlooks everything.

So Houston can get a star in the making left tackle Tunsil a week ago
but Denver is just impotent when it comes to roster moves? Makes no sense. Anything would be an upgrade. It is not like he is the 32nd best LT in the league. There are backups that are better than Bolles.

When a team has the 50th or 60th best LT and does not address the situation it just shows how dysfunctional it truly is. The ineptitude of the situation would not be happening or tolerated under Bowlen.
