I love the way Hamilton executed their onside kicks. They had a phalanx
of running ahead of the ball--which was kicked with minimum velocity--blocking the other team from getting it. Brilliant.

Karl is making $18M guaranteed for this job
He's stealing money right now. CU can either pay the buyout at some point (obviously, a lot less $$$ to pay if they fire him in 2023 vs 2021) or let him coach out his contract and leave CU 0-12 and the worst P5 program in the country in 2024. The sooner they can afford to move on from him, the better.

Our coaches did fine with...
a partially injured (right shoulder) mediocre (plus) QB in Noyer... BL is a completely ineffective throwing QB and is really not that dynamic of a runner (if he gets in space he is OK, but he doesn't create as a runner). Opposing coaches know this and take advantage of it.

I truly miss both our programs being national contenders and hating you all with disgust when It meant something… Hopefully those days come back sooner rather than later!

Rough day (again) for the Huskers and a rough outing for the buffs as well, best of luck going forward. CHEERS!

And .. bring in who?
This is not a program with a lot of swagger, even before today's melt-down. It's easy to call for the coach to be fired, much more difficult to hire the next guy.

Karl is a smart guy, smart enough to know that what his team did today was a disgrace. Let's see how he responds to this utter failure. The man deserves a chance, and I personally think it's bullshit to talk about replacing him right now. That gets us exactly nowhere, especially given our recent history.

Moving from game to game on the dial. Most r close. ALL look coached.
With what is the poorest performing, most unprepared looking team in all of televised college football today, It sorrows me to say so, but it's time for some coaching changes at CU. (or at least one.)

Disgraceful
No other words or there are toooo many to mention that discribe this humiliating defeat. Some thing must improve or something must happen fans should not be subjected to this period-I really feel sorry for the hard working kids. Not fair to them!

So, you think Karl will coach here as long as he wants?
Not gonna happen with his recruiting and with the way this season is going, recruiting will get even worse in future years. He couldn't even recruit off a winning season and now he has the worst offense in America. Rick George will end up firing Karl, it's only a matter of time. My estimate is mid-season in 23. I wish it could happen sooner.

We absolutely, positively have a coaching problem.
You coach to the personnel you have. Our coaches seem to think we have Tom Brady at QB. Not sure wtf you are thinking.

Is this a serious post? Doubtful
You're Rick George - after one guy LITERALLY WALKED OUT ON YOU, you just hired the guy, he had a decent 2020 season after a crazy honeymoon, and we're talking about next guy up already? Are we delusional? Take away the mountains and call us Nebraska. Jesus.

Maybe you're perfect in your job, but you would be alone in that. Dorrell needs to get better at this job.

Rick George needs to 1) make his expectations clear, and 2) step aside to see if Karl takes the challenge. #3 is not an option for now.

No bets here, but I'm thinking this CU team will have better games this season.

We don't have a coaching problem
We have a QB problem... Our QB [a] has lost all confidence and [b] his processing speed is not up to college football standards... it is too slow... the latter is the cause of the former... The overall offense looks poor because the defense knows that the CU coaches are in a bind... there is not a lot that they can do.

I would love for it to happen that soon but I don't think Rick George
would be willing to fire him that soon. He would be admitting he failed as an AD. Also, Karl would have been fired after 2 seasons when the first season was only 6 games with a 4-2 record. I just can't see a termination that quickly. Even Embree got 24 games.

If they lose out remainder of this year’s schedule
And not particularly competitive doing so, 12/2021. Hard to survive losses like today’s debacle. Ask MM. With portal opportunities there is no excuse for current QB situation. None.

KD was pass-happy as our OC. Nothing will get better.
Look back at his stats - passed ALL the time, even when we had a decent running game. Therein lies the problem with this team.

I'm contradicting what you said about his defense. He absolutely needs to
up his game on rebounding and offense. He was much better in the Blazers series than in the Suns series, with 12.5ppg and 6.5 rb. But all the Nuggets were worse against the Suns, not just Gordon.

Most of what you say is correct, except for him not being able to defend. He is very good at that. Of course, when defending great scorers, some nights or a series, you're going to look bad.

Take a look at the stats of guys Gordon defended then get back to us...
...I agree somewhat about his offense, but he is an elite defender. I’ll take NBA pundits over your analysis.

Are you saying Aaron Gordon can’t defend? Ask Dame about that.
When you are always defending the other teams best player sometimes you don’t look great. But Gordon always makes it harder for them to get their points. They take more shots, makes shots more contested and often they pass off to a lesser player who misses shots.

He makes other players less efficient.

I'm a big Russell Wilson fan too but him playing at Wiscy for one season
means more to the state's fans than Rodgers, who helped Green Bay win another Super Bowl?

I know Favre is beloved. Rodgers not being loved too seems crazy. You could be Denver or Chicago or many other teams and long suffering at QB.

I confess I was not big on Allen but I loved Nelson
But it does hurt, yes.

If Chubb could stay healthy I think he'd prove to be a quality player. I didn't think he was Pro Bowl good last season (much better as a rookie) but he made it anyway. Shows he can get things done. Healthy, I see him as an 8-10 sack guy. Not elite but above average.

Nelson, if he is mostly healthy, is going to the HOF.

Allen looked brilliant last season, a real difference maker. Could make more than his share of Pro Bowls and win a ton of games with the good franchise the Bills appear to be again.

There are two ways to look at "busts"
When he plays, he is effective. But his down time is considerable and has to be part of the equation.

Still, for a #5 pick, his production should be great. His has been good.
