After thinking more about this "no indictment allowed" clause...
all these oversight committees were formed after Watergate. So this was probably some negotiated clause to protect future presidents and maybe they thought it would never happen again.
But I don't see how they can compare what Nixon did and what Clinton did to what may come out that trump did. The previous ones were embarrassing and stupid, but they were not treasonous.
I'm ok. I was really pissed off the other day and I was baited and I should know better by now and not fall for it it or get sucked in. I'm trying to avoid it in the future. Don't know how long that will last. :-)
If Bob's pension was affected in any way by the tax "reform" he hasn't said. I don't even know how he receives his monthly payment but I assume through direct deposit. I guess I should ask him if he saw any increase. Thanks for cluing me in.
It's very dry here too...we had one storm here in SoCal. I've been fighting allergies but I finally got relief from 24 hr. Allegra. Hope that continues to work.
The family has booked a flight to arrive Saturday before Easter Sunday for 10 days. I'll be busy trying to make E. baskets again. I over did the last time. The kids want to plant jelly beans again because the next morning they turn into tootsie pops. They can't do it up there in the snow. Now that they are getting bigger and older, I bet they will not be asleep while their mom and uncle and me stumble around in the dark with a flash light to pick up jelly beans and stick in tootsie pops. The boys are growing up! Eight and six now. The older one, Ethan, was on their tv local news a week ago being interviewed about the importance of not littering cigarette butts around their school and open spaces. He was SO cute and serious!
I will brag more after I see them again. :-)
Hope all is well with you guys up there and that you are enjoying the easy life.
