I may be loosing something in trying to understand your post. Joseph was not Jesus' father but rather his step-father. First century Jewish betrothal would not allow for sexual relations because such would be a capital crime. History does teach that Joseph was considerably older than Mary. Maybe as much as 20 plus years. However, that was a cultural and religious norm. Much different than today. On a second front, if Roy Moore broke the law he needs to receive the just consequence for doing so. PERIOD. What bothers me most about this whole situation is that the press is replacing the judicial branch of our government. He must be guilty because an article says so.
