For this to happen we have to hope that his last recruiting class

Turns out to be very talented and that coaches like Elliot show tremendous improvement defensively between now and next November. If they continue to flounder and none of these players from 2017's class step up then we can dismiss any similarities up to this point as being simply coincidental.

I think the odds are good that we will see some modest improvement.
