lack of adjustments were puzzling. Players/coaches heads were spinning and no one was able to calm down and change.

No idea why you wouldn't onside kick w/ 11 min left or 5? Mac admitted they couldn't stop him so whether they go 50 yds or 75 what does it matter?

Penalties were a huge part of game. AZ played flawless on offense w/ back up QB on the road. No false starts and no holding penalties. Usually w/ qb who can go offscript, that's recipe for holds. AZ played extremely well. Franke's offsides on that final drive was huge. Would have been 2nd and 13 and honestly i would have liked our chances of getting off field there.

I do think the D just had a bad day & they are better than that but consider:
1. they were down to their 3rd string d-tackle for 1/2 the game. Also, in addition to losing 8 starters from last year, they also lost Umu, 300 pound dlineman who was projected contributor, Julmissee, projected starter, Falo, projected starter, Mata, ILB who was projected contributor. CU is still developing program and it's almost impossible to expect them to reload after losing all that they lost. The success the defense has had this year has been unexpected suprise. Doesn't excuse that awful performance however.

I do think that the biggest recruiting area CU needs to address is def. line. We just don't win many one on one battles. McCartney is just a guy, Jackson is okay. Malumba has been non existent. You have to have production and game changing plays from Def. Ends and our guys don't appear to be good enough.
