neither of my sons are allowed to play. I played through high school. I don't think I had more than possibly one concussion while playing but I do think about it when I can't remember what I wanted in the grocery aisle.
Personally, I don't believe that there is a solution to the concussion issue that wouldn't require changing the game so much that it would be virtually unrecognizable. Someday the game will be played on barges. That's why I think CU should invest heavily now in college baseball and men's college soccer. It's just my opinion, but I doubt very seriously that institutions of higher learning are going to continue to support bringing kids in who many times wouldn't otherwise meet the standards set forth by the school to bash their skulls together while alumni and students cheer them on. Soccer and baseball are safer. Sports aren't going away, football is. People are dying.
