Worth every penny

First of all, Texas State is a division 1 FBS team. Not a very good FBS team, mind you, but still FBS.

It is standard practice to pay the visiting team in these non-conf filler games. In order to avoid paying, you have to schedule a home and home series. CU more than makes back the money with another non-conf home game on the schedule next year.

I would also argue that CU will learn more from this game than if they had gone out and won 70-0. Coaches and players have some work to do.
