FWIW, I anticipate a shootout

I've felt that way since the end of last season. I certainly have questions about our young defense. But our DBs are really good, even after we lost the three draftees back there.

I am much more concerned about the defensive front seven. The fact two of our starting down D-linemen were in Juco last year is a concern, because even if those guys turn out to be able to play, it almost always takes them a while to adjust to D1A speed.

So yeah, I think your offense will score points on us. And I believe the fact you have a game under your belt is a major plus for you.

I also think our offense will score lots of points on you. I can't imagine your defense stopping our offense very often, although it's possible that our offense could stop our offense with first-game mistakes.

It will be an interesting game, and I think a competitive, high-scoring game. I can hardly wait for Friday night.
