Mac was crucified in the media and by Christian-haters while he was coaching. I was on an AOL board in the early 90s and people were brutal. As internet boards and forums expanded, like netbuffs, the hate continued well after Mac retired. People still today call him a bigot and homophobe, and accuse him of pimping out his daughter. Embree never got anything close to that kind of hate.
