gained from national media exposure during the NBA draft. Question being, since successful athletics can bring a school very valuable exposure, can that school retain it's academic chops while gaining that exposure? I maintain yes, that a school doesn't have to choose one or the other, that both areas can be highly rated.
Not talking who has been in the NC game in recent years, not necessarily talking "powerhouses" in the original assertion, although Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Texas are all undoubtedly that, the last few year's records notwithstanding. When someone says Michigan or the others to me, I think outstanding school and historically outstanding football teams. We disagree on that point.
