I've dealt with it first hand in high school state playoffs. It sucks reaching the state semis and having to throw a freshman who hasn't started all year.

I think people want to see two teams at their best. I know the pitching rotation is part of baseball but after over 2 weeks in Omaha these teams don't have much left. LSUs starter tonight hasn't started in 2 years!

I don't know the solution. Shortening the season isn't the solution. The regionals, supers, and CWS already take long enough. The Florida and LSU players have been in a hotel for weeks now. Perhaps take a break once the Final Four have been decided, like in basketball. Then bring them back with all players rested and ready. IDK
