If you compare the second sentence (about USC) to the third sentence ( about Husker fans), it's pretty obvious I mean Husker fans are insanely jealous of Colorado the state and Colorado the university. I didn't mention the football program until I said they hate Bill McCartney. This is also supported in a post I made the next day.

I lived in Omaha for 4 years, including when the Buffs won the MNC. Yes, the average Husker fan was insanely jealous that Mac won the MNC before Parole Officer Tom. Their hatred stems from that jealousy. Their jealousy of CU as a whole and the beautiful state of Colorado continues even today. The truth hurts, eh? Now go vacation in McCook instead of Estes Park.
