I agree with your point that MM did nothing wrong, and the lawsuit brought by the alleged victim is without merit and should be dismissed. I don't think that CU owes any money to the accuser.

My guess is that JT warned her against going to the police, and needing to talk to somebody she thought would be sympathetic, she contacted MM's wife. Then, anytime the press gets ahold of a story like this, the situation goes from very bad to even worse.

Even if she went straight to the police and never contacted MM, the police would have contacted MM after they charged the alleged abuser. One way or the other, MM or RG would have needed to contact the OIEC.

However, if the alleged abuser had just kept his fists to himself, then none of the chain of events would have happened in the first place. 🙁
