A brief argument for the traditional look only for CU football
Personally I only like the traditional CU uniform combos going back to the early 90's. Gold helmets only..
White Jersey and black pants for road games (the combo that CU wore for Miracle in Michigan in '94 and the rematch in '16.)
Home games black jersey and gold pants... And black jerseys and black pants for the biggest home game a year. Please keep it simple CU!
The "white out" looks screams white flag.. "I surrender."
I truly believe believe it is a disadvantage when sports teams change their jersey designs constantly which in turn causes the athletes to have a bit of an identity crisis.
Think of the iconic brands that have kept their design/look for multiple decades - Coca Cola, American Express, Ralph Lauren, McDonald's. I believe that this subconsciously signals stability and strength to the consumer.
I can't stand USC nor their fans but they have the commons sense to not allow Nike to mess with their Jerseys too much over the decades as well.
My $.02.
