I have heard that the plan....

is to eventually sell out to the NFL after the initial investors work out the kinks and soothe whatever hard feelings or other issues there are from the NCAA and the schools.

The long view is the NCAA will have to eventually pay players and the rule about having to wait to play will be changed if nothing is done. This way the NFL can control the new world and the NCAA can go back to business as usual.

We'll see.
