How about the fans??

During the Rose Bowl, I saw PSU fans holding a large sign (a white sheet with blue spray paint) that said something like "Penn State Football Forever". It gave me the strong impression that they want PSU football to survive no matter what the cost.

I heard during the Sandusky trial that Nittany Lion fans were relentlessly supporting Sandusky and Paterno. It was PSU against the world. Many of them didn't seem to care what he did to those poor kids. They want trophies and wins. I can't imagine what the kids and their families felt if they saw that sign.

I wouldn't care if PSU burned to the ground tomorrow. They have the same blind fervor for football that I saw when I lived in Nebraska. It's a sickness.
