Not a TT guru, but
Chivs receivers were a heck of a lot more physical this year than we were last year. I thought we'd be quite a bit different on offense, and the physical play of the receivers was a surprise. On the other hand, we didn't have the QB to run the TT offense unless we landed Webb or handed it to Montez. So maybe this year was an aberration.
The trend is swinging back in the direction of the physical teams. And realistically, the TT offense and other spread offenses haven't had success in the playoffs. Some posters used to gripe about the elite QB you needed for the WCO, but I'd say you need an even more rare QB (Mariota) for success at the top level with the spread.
I'm hoping for a continuation of the running game we established, more based on the RB, and better play action with Montez. He's much better at keeping his eyes downfield when he moves in the pocket.
