It's their style of play


Emphasis on defense and special teams. Efficient, run-oriented offense. No intricate passing schemes that get rusty after a 3-week break. Very much like the good VT teams that Frank Beamer has had.

Ironically, many Utah fans are frustrated with him. He's not on the hot seat but they expected a lot more this year. They're tired of him "playing for 3" on offense. Tired of QBs and WRs who are not PAC 12 caliber. Next year will be interesting because the Utes lose a huge % of their scoring.
