Good memory...


Mitchell lost in the championship in '73 (with Miller), and then won on '75, '77, and '81.

My brother was on the '77 team and they were amazing because they lost a lot of players when Doherty opened. Still won state with the players they had. The '81 team was my senior year and was the first Mitchell team to go undefeated.

Those were gritty, hardnosed teams that pounded the ball with a long line of great RBs. Fun to watch.
