RG comments on Leavitt

"I'm somewhat surprised that he went to Oregon."

"I wasn't going to touch that money," George said. "I want people that want to be in Colorado and we want to pay them fairly, no question about that; but we don't want to overpay and overreact because somebody is throwing a ton of money at him."

Interpretation? Hasn't the story from the fire-MM crowd been that RG brought Leavitt in? Maybe so, but it sounds like Leavitt and RG weren't very close from these comments. Maybe MM saw this coming two years ago and had another plan? Now that Leavitt is gone, isn't it time for the people claiming to have insider info about the Leavitt hire to spill the beans?
