Back when it was sponsored by Weedeater. Had a blast every time. Shreveport, Louisiana is a shithole but I lived there so I figured why not go to the game.

While it's true that the only interest comes from the fans of the teams and a handful of locals, it's still football. It was fun to wear CU gear and see how people reacted.

The best Indy Bowl I attended was LSU vs Notre Dame. Rode a shuttle bus to the stadium with the ND fans and seeing their reactions to the Shreveport ghettos was priceless. The LSU boosters set up enough jambalaya and beer for anybody who wanted some. Literally fed tens of thousands of people. All you can eat and drink. Party time.

These bowls are meaningless but they can be fun.
