I try to keep it in perspective...


The huge majority of teams that compete for the NC every year have strong instate recruiting bases and/or have the ability to go nationwide because of their name. CU has neither. We are an outlier geographically in the PAC 12. Instate talent is mediocre at best. We are competing head-to-head with USC, UCLA, UW, etc for CA talent. It's tough and I don't want to hear about how beautiful the Flatirons are.

If we want to compete for the NC every year, we better be prepared to pay top dollar for a big name coach.
