My son used to work for Cessna (he is a CU engineering grad). He made decent money. He developed some doo-dad that saved Cessna millions of $ in a production line item. He got a .6% raise, yes, .6, not 6. His boss got a bonus and a golden parachute.
Learjet offered him a 30% more to come do things like that for them. They have treated him well. The only down side is living in Wichita.

Of course, he took the raise.

Leavitt would be stupid to not take that kind of money insuring his family for years. His value is up right now.
