The problem was that there was no Plan B

The offensive gameplan was working fine until Sefo got hurt. We were running QB power right at them pretty effectively, and he was marginally effective throwing it when the QB run was in play. When he got hurt, it took away the QB run, and that was the end of the gameplan. IMO, Plan B should have been to put in Montez and try to pressure the defense with his better pocket passing, although even that probably wouldn't have worked. WU was better than I expected in the defensive backfield. And MM teams have not been good at preparing a second QB.

Credit to Petersen for a really solid offensive gameplan. Our ILBs have played well against a lot of the Pac12 teams, but they were outmatched tonight, over and over again. WU kept possession, they kept our offense off the field, and they wore us down. Well done.
