I was worried about this UCLA game, so much so,
that my wife threw two unsportsmanlike penalty flags at me yesterday and I was kicked out of the family room before the game even started.
I figured UCLA's defense would be stout and they would be fired up for this game in their quest for bowl eligibility. Fafaul seemed to be improving each week under center and UCLA does have a lot of talented players. I'm sure CU wanted to make a statement in this game and obviously had a lot of emotion coming in. So this game felt like a trap to me. But I was impressed with their grit, fire, and determination in overcoming a poor performance. Successful seasons seem to have at least one ugly victory in them, CU's season has had two. I want the CU-Utah game to be for all the marbles in the south division, so now go out and smash the mildcats next week. Go Buffs!
