The town of State College is Penn State University. The Air Force sent my Dad to Penn State to get a Master's degree in meteorology when I was a little kid. I remember him taking me to Penn State football games for 2 seasons. Football was king. Rip Engle was head coach and Joe Paterno was an assistant at the time.

Old Dad had 3 teams he always followed, Penn State, Air Force and Colorado.

And oh yes, I have the same feelings toward Hoffman. What I have to say is so bad it would probably get me banned from here forever, so I won't say it.
