Big difference between PSU and CU


Athletics (esp. football) are a major part of the University's culture. Their administration (unlike CU until recently) understands that athletics is a valuable differentiator. If you've ever been to Happy Valley, you understand just how much PSU football is embedded in that community. Undoubtedly that played a role in the events that occurred, but it also helped in its recovery.

If this was Boulder, that program would be toast. Oh and did I say, "Screw you Betsy Hoffman, wherever your term of endearment lies."
