Every player on the team deserves loyalty. I don't think one deserves "more" loyalty than any other. I think people may be mixing up "loyalty" with "feelings." Some may have garnered more "feelings" from a coach simply through time and character. For example, a senior who has played with abandon and started for a few years versus a new walk-on in his first year. Nevertheless they are all part of the team. "Feelings" don't give you the best chance to win football games. The player that gives the TEAM the best chance to win at every position gives you the best chance to win a game.
