You are counting the games against CSU and Idaho State
as being equal to Oregon (in Autzen) and Oregon State.
Maybe Oregon State is about as bad as CSU, but we all know Oregon is 10 times the team Idaho State is.
We have never seen Sefo do anything comparable to what Montez did at Oregon despite many opportunities. That is, execute in the clutch and engineer a come from behind victory against a quality opponent on the road. It is a big gamble to play Sefo in a game where we might need a couple of 4th quarter scores to get the W.
Note that Sefo did play well in the victory over an awful Cal team at home in 2013, and got 17 points total to secure the win over a terrible Beavers team last season, but he has had so many opportunities against talented teams and always come up short.
Hopefully MM starts Montez at SC. After that he can consider starting Sefo against ASU. With ASU's poor defense and the game being at home, it isn't as much of a gamble.
