The team 'system' rewards you for hard work
and performance. After a lot of practices and evals, Sefo was the better player. He won his 1st 2 and got hurt. Montez won the last 2. The game they both played in, Sefo was far the better performer. So, Montez (I like him a lot) has not shown he is more likely to lead the team to victory against USC and Sefo should start.
There is also something to be said for rewarding 4 years of very hard work and sacrifice and love for his school and team. The players know this too.
