Sefo has to play better at crunch time. Here are his 3 year stats.....
Sefo is a warrior. He plays his heart out every Saturday. He is tougher than hell. All great attributes.
But he has quite possibly been the poorest CU crunch time QB in modern history. With a little better QB play late in games, CU would have won an additional 6-8 games over the last three seasons.
In his three seasons as a starter, Sefo has engineered 46 drives in the second half or overtimes of games where CU was winning by 8 points or less or more commonly losing by 8 points of less. In other words, one score games.
21 Times the Buffs have punted
8 Drives ended with a turnover (5 picks, 3 Fumbles)
7 Times the Buffs have kicked FGs
4 TDs
3 Times the Buffs turned it over on downs
2 Times the clock expired
1 Missed FG
Sefo will have to play much better in crunch time if the Buffs stand any chance to go to a bowl in 2016 with him as the QB. With Sefo at the helm, CU has scored on less than 25% of its drives with the game on the line. This is why I would hand the keys to Montez.
