I do agree that there is what I call a "trend" of young people, teenagers, that may be thinking they are trans gender. They are confused about a lot of things during those rough years. I think this subject is one of them. I really doubt there are that many true transgenders that we are talking about today. When I was a teen, there was a lot of talk about the opposite sex but not talk about being gay or for sure, transgender. Not that there were no gays, because we noticed a few here and there, but it wasn't something that we thought about or were concerned about or even did anything about. We were too worried about ourselves and the changes we were going through. Later we became more aware of gays and the movement certainly helped us understand and accept it. But I still think the percentage of true transgender people is very low. Yes, I think Caitlen Jenner is a true transgender but I also don't think she's the greatest example either.
I guess it's more of a private, personal issue...I would think most transgenders don't want to announce to the world that they are..But I have no problem with those that look and dress like girls/women using the same restroom as me. It's probably happened before and I was totally unaware.
Maybe more restrooms should have more stalls so that everyone could enjoy privacy...instead of men lining up in front of urinals. Ugh. I'm glad I don't have to do that!
