They gave me what seemed standard pain relief in the skilled nursing facility. I didn't think one dose a night would hook me but when you're trapped in a bed and there is nothing to occupy you, you want to sleep and the Norco helped me relax. I really didn't get pain relief from it.

I got the Oxycodin after my surgery in February. The nurse asked me my pain on a scale of 1-10 and I had to think about it....and said 3? Because it wasn't bad at all but I took a dose because I didn't want it to come on hard. They say to stay on top of the pain. I took one for the ride home the next day but didn't need it after that.

I think I have a pretty high pain tolerance and so I stick to ibuprophen because it works the best for me.

But bad knees hurt from what I've been told...I'm lucky to not have knee pain.
