Well, probably they didn't recognize the early stages and this was his final tour, that's what the documentary was based on. I thought it showed a lot about how his wife and kids were coping with it...they even went before some congressional hearing to tell their story. Sometimes, unfortunately, people in power will listen to someone like Glen Campbell a celebrity instead of an average person. Also, I thought it showed his frustrations and how the disease progressed over that period of time. He knew he had it, he knew he forgot things, and he joked about it, but then you saw in his face, the confusion and frustration he had to deal with, let alone what his wife had to deal with.
