That's a good point, because we have NEVER had a five-star dropback QB


And if we looked at the best QBs in CU history, only Koy Detmer would qualify as a pure dropback guy. The others on my A-list:

-- Darian Hagan
-- Bobby Anderson
-- Kordell Stewart
-- David Williams
-- Ken Johnson

Craig Penrose, who went to be a backup for the Broncos, was in Boulder briefly before transferring to San Diego State. Colt Brennan went on to big things at Hawaii after his short, not-so-wonderful time at CU.

Despite the passing numbers, I really can't place Joel Klatt, Cody Hawkins and Sefo Liufau on the same level as the guys above.
