Re: I would have been at 18.
When we were young in the 1960's, we had reasons to rebel although I didn't. There was plenty for us to be pissed off, mostly the never ending war in Viet Nam and the DRAFT! These young people need to face a draft. They have it too easy and then they pick Trump based on NOTHING! Yes, I understand student debt...college was affordable in our time. Mostly State college. Something should be done about that, but I doubt it will be even if Bernie wins.
In May of 1968, Bob and I were newly engaged and we voted in our Cali primary...it was hotly contested. We voted for RFK. And then a few hours later, he was shot. We spent the rest of the evening in a bar. We married in October and started to live a normal life of working hard, etc. to get ahead.
What will this "youth" do when they graduate college? Demand the highest paying jobs? I don't think they know about hard work. Starting low and working their way up. They have been given too much, they are entitled and they think Bernie or Trump should take care of them like Dad and Mom did.
