Re: Marcus has a very bright future as a lawyer and maybe.....
I don't know who started this BS about Marcus Houston not being "black enough" for the Colorado Football people. Colorado Football has welcomed athletes of all ethnic backgrounds for a long time. All the way back to the 1950s Coach Dal Ward recruited black student-athletes Frank Clarke and John Wooten to the program. They both had important contributions to the program. I added a link to a story.
Coach Eddie Crowder recruited great student-athletes to the program regardless of ethnic background. Read about the 1969 Liberty Bowl game and one of CU's Captains, Bill Collins:

Anyone can look up Coach Bill McCartney's teams and find student-athletes of varied ethnic backgrounds.
What happened with Marcus Houston and football was a shame. Some situations were seen in different ways by different people. It's simply a shame that the situations were not worked out in a better way by all involved. Marcus was active in the community and was an exemplary citizen. I'm happy he has done well following football and is a valuable contributor to the well-being of people.
