WB, glad you spoke up

Hard liners in Congress who don't live there, could care less about what happens there, yes, those people. I understand it takes planning and resources. There are other reasons in addition to those you mentioned, reasons that could/will mitigate much more expensive coastal reconstruction, as dams hold back more than water. Slit and mud, accumulated behind dams, rather than moving down stream to be deposited in alluvial plains. Without that material coast lines are seeing massive erosion and are at greater risk to storm surges. Fixing THOSE problems I will argue are much more expensive.

I am also fascinated by the idea that minerals and nutrients from the ocean move upstream to the high mountains in the form of salmon to fertilize forests and water sheds. It's an amazing process DB, don't you think? Glad to have you working on this important restoration. Have you seen the movie? I think you'd like it.
