Re: Q: It's an interesting topic but aren't we wasting time..
Now with end of the 2015 season behind us for a few weeks; upon a little reflection, I have to say it does not look good for MM beyond 2016. I’ve have been and will remain a supporter. As a HC I thought he was a quantum leap over Hawk and JE. And did get the program back to respectability. The problem is that the “close” losses the team incurred in 2014 just did not translate to winning close games in 2015. And those games were “must haves” for MM.
Looking at 2016… with the return of an injured Sefo a question mark; the departure of Nelson Spruce and in general, a lack of two or three offensive “difference makers” on the roster, I just don’t see a realistic scenario having the Buffs being bowl bound in 2016. And anybody thinking the QB kid from El Paso being the savior is kidding themselves.
At this point I believe the Regents really need to look hard at Bruce B. and Phil D. as being part of the problem. And make changes starting right there. After canning those two clowns, maybe a big name like Mike Shanahan would be interested as the HC? Still lives here locally.
Shifting gears and just for grins, I’ve included a link of the top 100 JUCO players for 2016 and don’t see CU being in on any of them. What a state of the affairs we’re at in terms of a football program. Really… I’m beyond despair. I think its called apathy. I just don’t care.
