I had heard several months ago (and posted here) from a person high up the sports media food chain that an implosion of the conference was a real and even likely possibility.

The P12 simply can't get a competitive media rights deal secured. It is as simple as that. It sucks because there was a deal to be had last summer, Kliavkoff just played it wrong.
