Depends on who would get hired
We used to think CU couldn't hire a great leader for football. I knew it was possible if standards would be raised. I confess, it wouldn't be Deion and he being the force he is though.
What if CU BB could hire, for conversation sakes, someone who would supercharge fan excitement?
What if someone like Jay Wright came out of retirement and CU went after him hard and he said "yes."
Or John Calipari got sick of expections at Kentucky (he does have three of the top four or five recruits and four of the top nine coming to Lexington next season) and CU offered him a lifetime contract to coach five seasons?
Think recruiting, confidence and wins would explode?
"Those guys would never come here."
Who thought Deion Sanders would be coaching in Boulder.
"Perfect storm, dude. An outlier."
Ok, fair point. There are other guys that could excite a fan base. CU is a good, not great job. Tad has showed you can win here. No reason the right guy couldnt make the Buffs a Sweet 16 team once in a while.
We don’t have to back the dark ages. Fear of regression seems to be the common defense attorney approach on this board.
