Agree, Walters should pass because of the reasons stated
I want him to succeed as a HC and this is dangerous, shark-infested waters here. However, I'd also contend Ryan could be a game changer and I hope he doesn’t turn down CU if offered.
I do think the portal deficiency needs correcting, NIL has to be developed, the assistant coaches' budget pool needs more money and CU has to budget to also build out the recruiting structure and system for Walters or any coach.
Deion could bomb. He's not a sure thing but he's done remarkable things so far at JS, I think you would agree. Not everyone can do what he's accomplished.
Now if CU could get a Matt Rhule or Tom Herman or someone of that ilk, those would be exciting hires.
With Deion, he has a lot to offer and he'd be the most exciting hire at CU, at least since Barnett. That's a long time ago.
