Gotta give Lovering, Clifford and O'Brien some props
Lovering is finally rising about being a net zero. While he's not a scorer(yet??), he really does impact the game in other ways. Blocked a couple shots, grabbed some Oboards and really is a nice passer. Glad the kid is having some success and contributing in a positive way. He's had 2 nice games back to back.
Nique deserves some recognition for his bounce back. it's been a struggle this year for sure, but I thought he was poised and patient today and put yesterday behind him and moved forward. Kudo's to him.
And O'Brien bounced back as well. His ability to drive past bigs and either finish or find open shooters can really be a positive for this team. He did it today. I still can't believe he was the team's best shooter in the summer. He doesn't shoot 3's.. he just throws em up and hopes they go in. For a kid who scored over 2k points in high school career and ave. 26ppg as senior, i want him to trust his stroke. If he doesn't, get in the gym and do what's necessary to gain that trust. if he and Nique could become capable 3 point shooters, man Colorado would be a bear to defend for anybody.
Anyway, those 3 kids all played well today and deserve some props.
Go Buffs!
