It's exactly what needs to happen


For "normal" Republicans, the script from Tuesday couldn't have played out better. Had the Red Wave materialized, it would have emboldened Trump and the MAGAs. Instead, the non-Trumpers like DeSantis and Kemp showed out while Donald continues to show his ass.

You call it an implosion, I call it an excision. The GOP establishment is finally waking up to the fraud that is Donald Trump. He knows it, that's why he's throwing his tantrum. And DeSantis is a savvy enough politician to step back and watch him embarrass himself.

If it takes losing in 2024 to rid the GOP of Trump and MAGA, so be it. It sure beats the status quo.
