He is a solid coach that will, for the most part, keep the buffs in the top half of the conference year in and year out. You never hear about him being on the "hot seat" and he is pretty much set in ways in how he recruits and coaches. The only problem with that is that he wont push the envelope to get to that next level. Not necessarily pushing up against rule violations, but recruiting kids that he may not be comfortable with their personality or approach to the game , even thou they can get you 20 a game. Or trying innovative things on offense on defense that may get you to the next level, but can also blow up in your face.
He is content to keep CU as a average to above average Pac12 team and I think CU admin is good with that as well.
