Refineries run on very long term planning, and there will not ne am. If the federal government undid the actions of intentionally damaging the domestic oil industry, in time they may respond. Right now the federal government cannot be trusted with anything it says. Unless and until Biden's destructive actions are reversed and the messaging with it, we're all screwed with high prices.

Biden gave the Oil & Gas industry an unprecedented F U, they responded accordingly, and it is essentially too late for him to do anything about it that will make much of an impact until he leaves office.

Remember he campaigned on shutting down the oil and gas industry, it's really one of the few things he set out to accomplish that is clearly on track.
