"Already recovering economy" - in March of 2021????

We talked about this extensively on this board, and you are ignoring reality. The urgency in March of 2021 was to get the economy's heart beating again. The stimulus package did that. The admin could have tried to separate the needy from the not needy, but that would have taken MONTHS. People were not working. The economy was in a coma. Did you forget that already?

The downside? Demand picked up massively, which leads to inflation. ALL economists predicted this would happen, but few said that some stimulus was a terrible move.

Our economy is in great shape right now. Inflation is high and markets are down, but the economy is extremely strong right now.

Oh and the Treasury Secretary doesn't set interest rates, which slow down inflation. The Fed does.
