Somewhere around 1980, I went to McNichols for a night NHL game


between the Flyers and the Colorado Rockies (yes, those Rockies). 🏒 🥅

There was a guy outside selling tickets for future games. He told us he had tickets for the BlackHawks, Bruins, Maple Leafs and Montreal.

He also yelled out the Nord a cues are coming to town (instead of pronouncing it as Nor deeks).

I giggle about that. every time I hear someone bring up the Quebec Nordiques. Who,of course became the Colorado Avalanche.
