I'll pull out my crystal ball
Alabama has been THE dominant team in the SEC since Saban arrived. They're a dynasty. Now Georgia has joined them and they'll be there as long as Kirby Smart sticks around.
Things change in college football. Saban is 70. When he retires, I doubt Alabama stays as good as they are now. They'll always be Bama but the dynasty will likely end. As I mentioned below, I think Georgia's dynasty is just getting started. Here's what my crystal ball sees happening in the coming years:
1) Oklahoma and Texas join the conference. OU rebounds from the loss of Riley. Texas gets better as joining the SEC helps their recruiting. This adds two additional programs that are very good to the conference.
2) Saban retires and Alabama gets back to just being a very good program. How far they drop (or if they drop) depends, of course, on who replaces Saban. I predict Saban's replacement will not match his success. (See Tom Osborne and Bobby Bowden).
3) Texas A&M will improve greatly as NIL consistently brings in Top 5 recruiting classes. LSU will improve with Brian Kelly. Ole Miss will improve under Kiffin.
4) Georgia will have a dynasty under Kirby.
I see Georgia being the top SEC team when Saban leaves and then a cluster of very good teams that will beat each other up. Georgia will have 0-1 losses each year (like Bama did under Saban). Teams like Bama, LSU, A&M, Florida, Oklahoma, Texas, and Ole Miss will be 2-4 loss teams because they all have to play each other. Georgia might even have the occassional down year with 2-3 losses. The SEC will still be the best conference but there will be more parity. Keep in mind this will all happen down the road. It won't happen tomorrow. The SEC is going to be a murderers row.
