Teams are already trying to emulate the Avs

You see lots of defensemen jumping up into the attack, and playing down low in the offensive end. But the Avs were built to play that way because it's Bednar's system. But not every team has Makar, Toews, Byram, and Girard. But teams are definitely noticing. I've heard too that a lot of talented young hockey players now are choosing to play d instead of being forwards because they get more ice time and can quarterback the offense.

The nhl just needs to do what every other pro sports league has done recently and tweak the rules to encourage offense, because it's more exciting than watching teams play clutch and grab in the neutral zone in 1-0 games.
